Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd completed a multi-million pound redevelopment of Walker Park in Newcastle.
The historic Park was to be rejuvenated back to its former glory, and despite the wettest winter recorded in over 50 years, Brambledown hit the project deadline and had the Park ready for its Summer opening.
The Main Areas of Walker Park Development by Brambledown Landscapes, on behalf of Client Newcastle City Council include: Pathways (tarmac, resin, block paved and flexi-pave), fencing (timber and steel), pin kerbs, Amphitheatre Construction, Excavation, Community Centre Construction and revite works, Tennis Courts, MUGA, gates, lighting and brickwork.
Brambledown worked closely with local residents to construct and replace the former Burns memorial statue and engraved paving beneath, along with street furniture and litter bins around the park. Associated large scale tree and shrub planting, as well as earthworks, regading of the land and trufing and seedign were also carried out by Brambledown here at Walker Park Newcastle.
The works also encorporated the construction of a new Cafe and Youth Centre, also undertaken by Brambledown construction division.
Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd are worked closely with North East architects TGP to develop a large Play Area including safety surfacing. It is the second rgeneration of Walker Park Newcastle that Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd have undertaken, having been responsible for the rejuvenation works almost 30 years ago.
Many of the same personnel are back working on this historic scheme.
