Locke Park Play Area in Barnsley, West Yorkshire, was created by Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd on behalf of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council as client. 

Works included the removal of old play equipment and the ground preparation of a large play area for children of all ages. 

Brambledown worked closely with local Yorkshire play park and landscape architects and the client to work to a design which would enrich the lives and free time of children from ages 3 – 16. 

The play area included many play features, all installed by Brambledown, including a roundabout, 2 slides, swings, a play castle, and safety surfacing all inspected by ROSPA. 

The Play area works carried out by Brambledown, over a 14 week period, included soiling, groundworks, seeding, turfing, steel fencing, safety gates and associated landscaping including shrub and tree planting throughout the West Yorkshire park and wider Play Area construction by Brambledown.

The Play Area construction works in Bransley were carried out by our Brambledown Yorkshire division based in Wetherby Leeds.
