Environmental Improvement

Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd have 46 years experience in providing Award winning Environmental Improvement schemes and HLF Park Restorations across the UK. Our installation work has vastly improved numerous public areas, particularly Historic Parks, Community gardens, National Parks, Botanical Gardens and Town Parks. Recognising the time and money invested in these projects, Brambledown Landscapes have ensured that every Environmental Improvement scheme that we are involved in, meets our strict high level quality procedures in line with ISO 9001, Constructionline & CHAS.

Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd handle everything from start to finish, and are comfortable working with artists, consultants and architects to produce areas of which the community can be proud. We have won National BALI and Considerate Constructors Awards for projects at Consett Park, Sheffield Botanical Gardens, Easington Community Memorial Gardens and the Sensory Garden in York, as well as Town Park Sunderland and the Fabulous Mowbray Park next to Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens.

Brambledown Landscape Services focus our efforts towards the clients needs and have formed strong relationships with Architects, consultants and Local Authorities all over the UK. The care and attention to detail that we here at Brambledown strive towards, has enabled us to grow steadily over 46 years into the company we are today.

Many of the large landscaped areas that you see across the North of England were produced by Brambledown. From Team Valley Industrial Estate to Walker Park in Newcastle (both in 1988 and 2016), all of them have matured and thrived because of the way they were executed precisely at the planning and delivery stage by our skilled internal commercial landscape management and labour force. Team Valley Gateshead is a wonderful example of this. Almost every tree and every blade of grass was planted into one of Europe’s Largest Industrial Estates in 1986 by Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd. It has now blossomed into a fine piece of Landscape Architecture, and Brambledown won a National BALI Award for this £1 million scheme way back in 1986.

There are many other examples of award winning environmental improvement works and HLF Park restorations carried out by Brambledown Landscapes across the North of England. Sheffield Botanical Gardens is now a centre piece of the Northern Horticultural landscape and Brambledown ensured that the finished project was worthy enough to win a National British Association of Landscape Industries Gold Award in 2006. Walker Park restoration in Newcastle, a £2.1 million Park Restoration and environmental improvement scheme on behalf of Newcastle City council in 2016/17 won major plaudits from local residents, consultants and Newcastle City Council.

The most recent successful scheme was carried out at Segedunum Roman Fort on behalf of Tyne and Wear Museums. Brambledown have just been awarded a 2018 National BALI Award for environmental improvement works carried out to this historic site, dating back to AD122. It sits at the end of Hadrian’s Wall and housed some 600 Roman Soldiers at its peak. Brambledown worked closely with principal designers and with Tyne and Wear Museums to enhance the customer experience to one of Britain’s most visited Roman ruins. Works included restoring parts of the Wall, footpaths, play area, Block paving, pin kerb edging, cycle path, fencing, entrance gates, surfacing, tree and shrub planting and maintenance. The £300k scheme was so well received, and to such a high quality finish, that Brambledown Landscape Services were subsequently awarded a similar project at Arbeia Roman Fort by Tyne and Wear Museums.
