Heritage Park Restoration -

Sheffield Botanical Gardens cover 19 acres and were first opened in 1836. Originally designed by Robert Marnock in the Gardenesque style, the site now, thanks to Brambledown, has fifteen different garden areas featuring collections of plants from all over the world, including Mediterranean, Asian, American prairie-style, woodland and rock-and-water plantings. The National Collections of Weigela and Diervilla are sited here.

The full restoration of Sheffield Botanical Gardens was completed br Brambledown Landscape Contractors and included the installation of Monuments & Statues, Boundary Walls, Replication of original Railings & Gates, Fountain Features, Bear Pit, New & Re-newal of roads, Paths & Decorative Surfacing, Irrigation System, Electrical System, Drainage System.

To complete this project successfully, Brambledown had to work closely with the Landscape Architects and Sheffield City Council to produce exact matches to historic drawings, ensuring the park was exactly how it was when it was in its full glory all those years ago.

The Sheffield Botanical Garden Restoration Scheme won a Gold National BALI Award for Brambledown. That was Brambledowns 12th British Association of Landscape Industries Award
