West Auckland War Memorial wins Award

Works to a War Memorial in West Auckland County Durham have earned Brambledown a prestigious Environmental Award from Durham County Council at a presentation Ceremony held at the Gala Theatre in Durham City last week.

Hundreds of guests were accompanied by regional architects and landscape contractors as well as construction contractors from accross the North East to find out if they had been nominated in their particular categories. Brambledown were invited to the awards by Groundwork North East who designed the scheme. Paul Curry of Brambledown joined Oliver Graham of Groundwork North East on stage to recieve their Awards from Durham County Councilors and pose for official photographs.

The scheme in West Auckland is called "The Pant" and involves restoration works and hard and soft landscaping around a war memorial in West Aukland. The Award is one of several that Brambledown have recieved in recent years for Environmental excellence.
