Walker Park Amphitheatre

Brambledown Landscapes are around 6 weeks into a multi-million pound project to restore Walker Park to its historical glory, as part of a Heritage Lottery Funded project. Part of the works include the construction of a Grand Amphitheatre within Walker Park on behalf of Newcastle City Council, and work has already started with the excavations well under way. The Concrete foundation has now been poured into place, and the footpath and kerb works are progressing well.

Brambledown are already progressing well with the clearance works to Walker Park, including the removal of old footpaths, hedges, and the stripping out of the existing pavillion in preparation for major rennovation works which will begin before Christmas.

Works have also begun on footpaths around the bowling area, and fencing works have started to the North of the bowling greens. Demolition works are also underway to the old games area. Walker Park is due to open in Summer 2016
