Tyneview Adventure Play Area

Brambledown are continuing the construction of a new large-scale Adventure Play Area in Gateshead. Residents of Gateshead will be able to use the Tyneview Adventure Playground facilities this Spring despite Brambledown having to overcome difficult weather conditions including waterlogging in many areas of the scheme.

The play equipment is mainly wooden and is very unique in design with twists and bends to framework to give a natural impression. The new play area is already beginning to look imposing and impressive and Brambledown have worked closely with Gateshead Council and local residents.

Much of the new equipment had to be crane lifted into position by Brambledown due to the weight of some of the play equipment and also because of the slopes and access restrictions onsite.

The new adventure play area at Tyneview will include:

  • Climbing Walls (stone)
  • Willow Tunnels
  • Treehouse design walkways leading to paths and slides
  • swings
  • climbing nets
  • Tree Planting
  • associated hard and soft landscaping

Below are some ongoing construction photos taken of The Tyne View Play Area earlier this month. You can see by its shere size and scale that local residents are going to have wonderful fun when the new park is completed by Brambledown and opened by Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council later this Spring.
