Sunderland Tree Project

Brambledown were involved in the planting of hundreds of mature & semi-mature trees into paved areas in and around the city centre of Sunderland. Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd were main Contractors on this scheme on behalf of Sunderland City Council as the Client.

Works also invloved the excavation of tree pits and the installation of drainage cells, underground guying, & watering systems for irrigation to the tree routes. The scheme was completed with the backfilling and planting of the numerous tree pits & the installation of tree grills to protect the trees from traffic and passing public.

As part of the hard landscaping package, Brambledown also installed the paved areas in and around the tree pits situated in Sunderland City Centre, using traffic management procedures to ensure public safety at all times. The scheme was completed on time and to the value of £140,000.
