Schools go Mad for Artificial Grass

artificial grass durhamSchools around the country are going mad for artificial grass.

Artificial grass has many benefits in a school setting, and not just the obvious artificial sports pitch solution. New schools often have large amounts of shaded areas, or areas that are inaccessible to cut or maintain, and schools are choosing artificial grass as a viable, cost effective solution to their problems.

Brambledown have just completed the installation of severl hundred square metres of artifical grass at Esh Winning School in Durham and many more new and existing schools are choosing the artificial turf route instead of paving & real grass.

The artificial grass of today is a far cry from the astroturf of yesteryear when you could spot fake grass the minute you saw it. Artificial grass from companies such as Easigrass is so impressive and lifelike, that customers are often down on hands and knees trying to tell the difference.

Not only does artificial grass look and feel great for 15 to 20 years, it is a cost effective way of keeping an area full of colour 365 days a year without having to maintain it.

Brambledown have been involved in the installation of synthetic turf across the North of England for 40 years and have seen the technology change to a standard unimaginable 15 years ago. 3G Artificial pitches are now common in most schools across the Durham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sunderland & Yorkshire, with Brambledown responsible for many of these installations.

The Brambledown group have continued the installation of the new generation of artificial grass through their retail outlet at Poplar Tree Garden Centre, who are now the North Easts official suppliers of Easigrass. More details can be found here: www.easigrass.com
