Grove Hill Training Base

Brambledown have completed a new Horticultural and Construction related training base for Middlesbrough College in an area known as Jellystone Middlesbrough. Grove Hill Training base will provide opportunities for local residents to have allotment space and also a state of the art training facility for Middlesbrough College students. Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd have completed the works on a site which was formerly redundant and used for fly tipping and known for anti-social behaviour. Brambledown remit included the installation of indoor training facilities which were made up from old shipping containers, lifted onto concrete slabs by cranes. These were then clad and rendered and will be used as classrooms for students. The area involved the import of 2,500 tonnes of topsoil and the removal of waste to enable Brambledown to create a circular tarmac in-road for vehicular access as well as Carparking facilities, shrub beds, block paving, fencing, drainage, lighting, CCTV, Electrical ducting, water pipes, raised planters and a large raised planting and allotment area. The area was completed with the planting of various sized trees and shrubs. Brambledown will carry out Grounds Maintenance on many of these planted areas.
