Celebrating 40 Years

September will Mark the 40th Birthday of Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd, part of the Brambledown Contracts Group Ltd.

Brambledown was established in September 1972 with the combined skills of a horticulturalist and an agriculturalist. One of the founders of the company still remains with the organisation today as Managing Director.

In its 40 years in the Landscaping Industry, Brambledown has seen changes across the North of England, and been involved in some of the most prestigious landscaping & external works schemes in that period such as The Gateshead Festival, Sheffield Botanical Gardens, Ropner Park regeneration in Stockton, and more recently the multi award winning Barnes Park Restoration in Sunderland, and Leeds Sports Village in Yorkshire. Many of you will have seen how well the Team Valley industrial Estate has matured into a long stretch of large trees, shrubs and green areas in amongst the industrial units and retail outlets. That was all Brambledowns handy work over 30 years ago. Many notable National Awards have been picked up by Brambledown along the way, with over 15 National BALI Awards, 2 National Considerate Constructorsd Awards, and numerous other local and National certificates.

The Company, which larger in size, but familiar in practice from the one which began 40 years ago, now boasts 3 Regional Offices across the North of England and over 100 employees with a multitude of skill sets and capabilities far beyond planting trees. Although Hard & Soft landscaping will always form the core of Brambledown, the company has developed its skills to meet the market needs and have diversified into natural & artificial sportsground construction, groundworks and Civil Engineering projects. Brambledown has built its reputation on its ability to meet clients high expectations, set its own high quality standards, and a desire to keep employees happy and motivated.
