Poplar Tree Garden Centre Durham is the retail outlet for Brambledown Contracts Group Ltd, selling to both the trade & the public. Poplar Tree Garden Centre is based in Shincliffe Village in Durham City & is the largest Independent Garden Centre in The North East of England.

Walker Park Newcastle - HLF Park Restoration - Value: £2 million

Brambledown Landscape Services Tyne and Wear branch have recently completed the restoration of Walker Park in Newcastle for the 2nd Time. Brambledown carried out the original restoration works on the large Newcastle Upon Tyne City Centre Park in 1988 and many of the same operatives worked on the 2nd restoration programme in 2017. The works by Brambledown included a new outdoor amphitheatre and seating, MUGA, Sports pitch drainage, tarmac footpaths, metal fencing, timber footbridge, resin bound footpaths, drainage, street furniture, Construction of a YMCA Building and cafe, entrance bollards and features, park lighting, gates and a Play Area along with the repositioning of the Robbie Burns statue and block paving. The works were completed by the planting of several hundred semi mature trees, shrubs and plants as well as seeding and turfing. 

Hitachi Rail HQ - Newton Aycliffe - Landscaping Works - Value: £370k

Brambledown Landscapes North East division have completed major Soft Landscape Works at the new Hitachi Rail Headquarters in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. The works, over a 18-20 week period, involved soiling and earthworks, tree planting, stakes, shrub planting and hedge planting and Grounds Maintenance thereafter. The commercial Landscape Works at the new Hitachi Rail Plant in County Durham were complete in May 2015, with Brambledown Landscapes working directly with Shepherd Construction, now Wates, who were the Main Contractors on this Prestigious North East Construction Project.

Wolsingham School MUGA - £150K

Brambledown have recently completed a full 3G Artificial Grass sports pitch construction project for Wolsingham School in County Durham. The works involved the excavation of existing soils, the build up of sub-base and removal of existing trees and waste, the laying of the artificial 3G Turf, ball court fencing and associated hard and soft landscape works as well as drainage. Brambledown have a Specialist North Sports pitch construction division dedicated to Natural and Artificial Sports Pitch Construction. Brambledown Landscapes have constructed over 75 Sports Pitches, both Natural Grass and Artificial Grass across Durham, Newcastle, Leeds, Yorkshire, Middlesbrough, Doncaster, Bradford, Harrogate, Stockton, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, Darlington, Sheffield, York, Rotherham, Scarborough and Tyneside.

Hebburn Hub - Multi Use Games Area and Landscaping - Value: £350k

Brambledown are midway through a Multi Use Games Area Construction (MUGA) on behalf of Wilmott Dixon. The Community Hub will provide fantastic recreational facilities for local residents and visitors to Hebburn. Multi Use Games Areas are a great way to bring a community together and the specialist acoustic fencing to the ball court installed by Brambledown will ensure residents are not disturbed by noise, but children have a safe environment to play and spend their time. Associated landscape works include soiling to form mounds, groundworks, Civils, footpaths, block paving, tree and shrub planting, ducting and drainage, tarmac works and Grounds Maintenance. These works will be carried out from Brambledown's Tyne and Wear Sports Construction office.

Environmental Improvement Works to the External Areas of several Housing Association resident blocks - Tilery Courtyard Construction, Anson and Hudson Block, Quenby Road, Chertsey Green, Hemlingotn Woods - Groundwork North East - Value: £1 million 

In a multi Phase project, running simultaneously, Brambledown are midway through a large demolition and environmental improvement scheme in Tilery, Middlesbrough, where we are responsible for the demolition of garages outside residential areas.

This will provide an area which Brambledown will clear and remove all rubble and waste, and construct a tarmac carpark with drainage and parking bays. Brambledown will also construct garden seating areas, remove concrete slabs and waste, install block paving, construct community courtyards, off-road parking bays, seating, litter bins, CCTV and lighting, earthworks, groundworks, Fencing, rendering, brick walls, planters, tree planting, shrub planting, seeding, turfing and general landscaping works plus Grounds Maintenance.



Grove Hill Training Base - Middlesbrough

Grove Hill Training Base in Jellystone Middlesbrough will provide unique indoor and outdoor training facilities to students at Middlesbrough College. Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd worked closely with Middlesbrough College, Groundwork North East and Erimus Housing, part of Thirteen Group Housing Association, to deliver the construction of classrooms, formation of carparks, footpaths, pin kerbs, and roads as well as rasied planters and allotment beds, electrical ducting and cabling, fencing, electrical gates, uplighters, irrigation, import of 2,500 tonnes of soil, shrub, tree and whip planting, earthworks, groundworks, seeding, turfing, lighting and CCTV along with entrance gates and artwork entrance signs.

Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd have a Framework contract in place (since 2016 onwards) with Thirteen Group for several years. An example of these environmental improvement works are seen here at Walton & Campbell Courtyard works in Stockton on Behalf of The Thirteen Group. The Landscape works formed part of the phase 1 Hard & Soft Landscaping Framework works alongside Landscape Architects from Groundwork North East. The Housing Association regeneration works included Earthworks, Block Paving, Carpark Construction, fencing, security gates, lighting, drainage, stone walls, outdoor seating, seeding, sculptures, gardens, tree & shrub Planting, turfing, resin boinded surfacing, steps, handrails, open spaces & Grounds Maintenance.

Brambledown Landscape works included Civil Engineering works, Footpaths, Carpark Construction, land drainage, Three 5-a-side 3G Artificial Football pitches.
